Crisis Management and Strategic Communications
A client was asked to publicly endorse a nominee for a high-level political appointment but was unsure the candidate had been sufficiently vetted. Traditional background checks had revealed a disturbing pattern of personal misconduct but the findings were incomplete, contradictory and poorly-documented. Our research revealed a host of previously unidentified issues, including civil litigation, criminal complaints and undiscovered domestic disputes. The nomination was sidelined, sparing the client embarrassment and potential scandal.
